How to create a search based on Universities ?

Steps to create university based search in Quick search form:  

1. From the Parties dropdown, select the field Assignee Type.

2. Enter the query, UNIV in the search box. 

3. You can combine this query with any other field of your choice.  

4. Here, after selecting the field code you can click on “space button” to check the list of all the Assignee Type that you can search in PatSeer.

Steps to create university based search in Command line search form:  

The field code- ASNNT that stands for Assignee type, can be used to create a search for universities. 

1. Enter the query ASNNT: UNIV in the command line search form.  

2. You can also combine this query with the keywords of your choice as shown in the image above.  

Note: The Assignee Type field code (ASNNT) can also be used to create a search specific to government, institute, firm, or individual. The following table shows the terms to be used for the same.
