Can I change my Language settings in PatSeer? / Is it possible to set a preferred language in PatSeer?

Yes, you can set your preferred language in PatSeer. This can be done as follows:

a. In the right corner of your PatSeer page, you will find a Settings option where you will see various options such as Search Options, Display Options, Add Thesaurus to Filter and Manage Permission Groups. 

b. As shown in the image above in the Preferred Language for Results, you can enter the language of your choice and then click on Save. Please refer to the image below:


Note: 

  1. If you set the Language preference with Two languages then the records will be displayed based on the first language preference you have given, however, if that record is not available in the first preferred language, then the second preferred language will be displayed. 
  2. You can set the language preference as original patent Language (Language present in the original PDF document), in this case, all the records will be shown in the language that it was published in. 
  3. If the original patent document is present in both languages i.e., English as well as some other language, then the record displayed in PatSeer will be based on the First preference you have set from the Language settings.
