Searching and Screening Unitary Patents in PatSeer
Unitary Patents can be searched using various options in PatSeer and the same have been discussed below:
Searching using the Kind Code C0
- To help users recognize UP-related information in patent knowledge products, a new kind code – "C0" – signals those patents for which unitary effect has been registered.
- So to search for the Unitary patents in PatSeer, in the Command line Search Form type in the query KC: C0, KC here stands for Kind Code and then by clicking on the search button you will be directed to the search results page where you will be able to go through the Unitary Patents.
Searching using the Field Code LSSE
To search for the Unitary patents in PatSeer, in the Quick Search form / Command line Search Form type in the query LSSE:UNITARY EFFECT - OPT-OUT, LSSE here stands for Legal Status Significant Events and then by clicking on the search button you will be directed to the search results page where you can go through all the Unitary Patents having UNITARY EFFECT - OPT-OUT as an event.
