Creating and Managing Permission Groups
PatSeer allows you to assign rights by user or role while sharing the project with a client or a co-worker. You can assign roles specific to certain custom fields, Dashlets™ or saved charts.
You must apply a Permission Group when you share a project with another person. You can use the existing permission groups or create your own permission groups.
Existing permission groups in the system have been tagged as Default. There are many Default (already created) Permissions Groups that can address the most popular types of sharing required by users.
The Default Permission Groups are:
Permission Group | Description |
Read only (Default) | Read only rights for all features. |
Full Rights (Default) | Read, Create, Edit, and Delete rights for all features in the project. If any changes are made to a particular project, these changes would be reflected in the project of the subscriber. For example, a subscriber shares a project named Colgate with full rights given. Now if the person changes the name of the project to Pepsodent then the changed name would be reflected in the subscriber's list of projects. |
Edit Additional Fields only (Default) | Edit rights for Viewing Records and Adding/Removing Records. |
