- Can PatSeer employees see my conversations with PatAssist?
No, Similar to other parts of the PatSeer product, your data is encrypted, preventing PatSeer employees from accessing it while in storage or transit.
- What data does PatSeer collect about my usage of the feature?
We collect statistics about usage of the feature in order to see how much it is used. We know that you asked a question, but we do not know what the question was or what patent it was about. We also collect data on the lengths of the questions, lengths of the answers, and the sizes of the related patent documents.
- Are user inputs and model outputs made available to third-party model providers?
No, we do not send your data to a third party. PatAssist is implemented using Claude from Anthropic and GPT from OpenAI and these models are deployed on our cloud providers, hence your questions do not go to servers of these models.
- What data do you send to the tools?
We send data such as the text of the patent, and some custom instructions that help the tools to give better answers.
We DO NOT send data related to the users personal information, email ID or company details.
- How do I trust PatAssist?
We believe your data is secure as the models that we use are deployed on our cloud provider. The provider is Service and Organization Control (SOC), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant. It is one of the AWS services under ISO Compliance for the ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 27701, ISO 22301, and ISO 20000 standards.
- Will cloud providers and third-party model providers use our inputs to or outputs from models to further train their models?
No,your question is processed by a large language model to generate a response. We may retain your question for a specified period for legal or compliance purposes, but it will not be used for any trainings or any other purpose beyond that. Your data is not used for training the model, nor do we claim ownership of your data.
